Spicy Margarita Recipe
This recipe is built to deliver a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and spicy, with an aromatic depth from the kit’s special infusions.
| Component | Ingredient | Amount |
| Spirit | Blanco Tequila | 60 ml (2 oz) |
| Liqueur | Orange Liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec) | 30 ml (1 oz) |
| Acid | Fresh Lime Juice | 30 ml (1 oz) |
| Sweetener | Muscovado Sugar | 1-2 tsp (or to taste) |
| Infusion | Coriander Seeds | 1/4 tsp |
| Infusion | Red Peppercorns | 2-3 peppercorns |
| Garnish | Sriracha Chilli Salts | For the rim |
| Garnish | Dried Lime or Orange Garnish | 1 slice |
Method
- Prepare the Rim: Pour a small amount of Sriracha chilli salts onto a small plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of your chilled margarita or rocks glass. Gently press the outer edge of the rim into the salts to create a spicy, zesty edge.
- Muddle (Infusion Base): In your Garnish Club shaker jar, combine the muscovado sugar, coriander seeds, and red peppercorns. Add a small splash of lime juice (about 1/2 tsp) and gently muddle these ingredients. This helps release the oils and flavors from the spices and dissolve the sugar.
- Add Liquids: Pour the blanco tequila, orange liqueur, and fresh lime juice into the jar.
- Shake: Fill the shaker jar completely with ice. Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the shaker is well-chilled. The hard shake is essential for properly chilling, diluting, and integrating all the flavors.
- Serve: Fill your prepared, salt-rimmed glass with fresh ice. Double-strain the Spicy Margarita mixture into the glass to catch any larger pieces of muddled spice.
- Garnish: Garnish with one of the dried lime or orange garnishes from the kit.
